Core Capabilities · Why Alibaba Pictures

A complete loop from content to monetisation

Our differentiation does not come from leadership in any single link, but from the way content, platforms and merchandising amplify one another.

Content production

More than 300 films produced, distributed or promoted to date. Seven of them rank among China's all-time top 10 domestic box office titles, and the aggregate box office of films we have produced has ranked first among private companies for seven consecutive years.

Data and marketing infrastructure

Lighthouse AI now covers the full film lifecycle — script assessment, release diagnostics, public sentiment analysis and box office forecasting — and has supported the evaluation of more than 600 projects.

IP commercialisation platform

Alifish is a leading IP licensing management and commercialisation platform in China, with hundreds of premium domestic and international IP signed and partnerships with thousands of brands and channel merchants.

Technology and AI

We continue to explore AI applications in film and entertainment — including digital humans and virtual production — and have completed and put into use eight virtual production stages in Hengdian, Zhouzhuang and Beijing.
